Decoridge hip ridge shingles offer a high profile and architectural appeal along with added protection and are specifically designed to complement our owens corning shingles. In traditional house framing also called stick framing a basic roof frame consists of opposing pairs of sloping rafters that meet at their top ends at a ridge board or ridge beam. These are often made of glazed ceramic and form an outward marching procession. Multi layer bull nosed design for a refined look.

Ridge boards and beams. Finials the architectural detailing at the end of the cresting are 45 each. The finial or spire and ridge crest represent two of the most popular decorative elements that can be added to our specialty line of custom glass enclosures and additions. As used in architecture the finial is usually affixed to the apex of domes roof elements or gables.

Here we see the imperial yellow glaze reserved for the emperor. Ridge cresting ridge cresting at solar innovations can be painted in one of our five standard colors and any custom color which your job may require. Mill unfinished aluminum is also available. The top end of each rafter is cut at an angle so that it meets flush with one broadside of the ridge board and the ridge is sandwiched between the rafters.
